iSAQB® CPSA-A - Application Programming Interfaces (Course)

Description

Attending the iSAQB® CPSA-A Application Programming Interfaces (API) course gives participants 10 Technical Competence (TC) and 10 Methodological Competence (MC) points towards the 70 points required for eligibility to take the iSAQB CPSA-A exam with Brightest. It is important to remember that as part of the 70 points required to take the iSAQB CPSA-A exam with Brightest, you will need at least ten competence points in each of the following areas: 

  • Technical Competence (TC)
  • Methodological Competence (MC)
  • Communicative Competence (CC)

 

Accredited iSAQB® API - Application Programming Interfaces (CPSA-A) training is based on the current iSAQB® curriculum:

Part 5 - Description of APIs

  • Understand the significance of API descriptions
  • Understand OpenAPI as a description language for HTTP APIs
  • Understand OpenAPI’s structure
  • Understand alternative description languages

Part 6 - API Lifecycle and API Tooling

  • Understand the API lifecycle
  • Manage APIs as products
  • Know API lifecycle tooling

Part 7 - API Security

  • Understand communications security fundamentals
  • Understand security technologies for APIs
  • Understand OWASP API Security Top 10

Part 8 - APIs at Scale: Platforms and Governance

  • Compare various notions of platform
  • Understand API guidelines
  • Establish and manage API guidelines

The CPSA-A Flexible Architectures Training seminar is particularly valuable for professionals who want to better understand how APIs function as technical interfaces, organizational interfaces, and business-oriented building blocks and generate value. 

Conditions requises

To join any iSAQB® CPSA - Advanced Level course, you must hold the iSAQB® Certified Professional for Software Architecture - Foundation Level (CSPA-F) certificate.

 

Knowledge prerequisites:

Participants should have the following prerequisite knowledge:

  • Work as an architect or in comparable conceptual or management roles
  • Work as a developer or in comparable technical roles
  • Technically oriented professionals with basic knowledge of IT and software architecture who want to gain a comprehensive overview of APIs
