iSAQB® CPSA-A - Agile Software Architecture (Course)

Attending the iSAQB® CPSA-A Agile Software Architecture (AGILA) course gives participants 20 Methodological Competence (MC) and 10 Communicative Competence (CC) points towards the 70 points required for eligibility to take the iSAQB CPSA-A exam with Brightest. It is important to remember that as part of the 70 points required to take the iSAQB CPSA-A exam with Brightest, you will need at least ten competence points in each of the following areas: 

  • Technical Competence (TC)
  • Methodological Competence (MC)
  • Communicative Competence (CC)

 

Accredited iSAQB® AGILA - Agile Software Architecture (CPSA-A) training is based on the current iSAQB® curriculum:

Part 1 - Basics of Agile Software Architecture

  • Software architecture, in general
  • Agile manifesto, values​, and principles
  • Agile process models, including Scrum and Lean
  • Anchoring software architecture in agile practices/tools
  • Agile handling of the software architecture

Part 2 - Agile Architecture Approach

  • Iterative, incremental architecture development
  • Risk-driven architecture work and release planning
  • Architectural work including Scrum and Kanban
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Agile architecture roles

Part 3 - Architecture Requirements within Agile Projects

  • Communication levels
  • Expressing architecture problems in a target group-oriented manner
  • Translating requirements and wishes into architectural concepts
  • Quality requirements within agile processes
  • Technical debt
  • Requirements for maintenance, grooming
  • Architectural risks, including survey
  • The urgency of architectural issues
  • Estimation and prioritization of architecture requirements

Part 4 - Design and Further Development of Architectures in a Team

  • Group decision-making process
  • Moderation in decision-making processes
  • Conceptual integrity with different decision makers
  • Just-In-Time architectural decisions
  • Vertical architectural styles

Part 5 - Reflection and Feedback on Architectural Work in an Agile Context

  • Lightweight architecture evaluation, as well as other feedback mechanisms
  • Root Cause Analysis

Cerințe

To join any iSAQB® CPSA - Advanced Level course, you must hold the iSAQB® Certified Professional for Software Architecture - Foundation Level (CSPA-F) certificate.

 

Knowledge prerequisites:

Participants should have the following prerequisite knowledge:

  • Practical experience in the design and development of small to medium-sized software systems
  • Practical experience with the preparation, documentation, and communication of architecture decisions
  • Initial practical experience in agile software projects

Knowledge in the following areas may help understand some concepts covered in this course:

  • Knowledge of agile procedure models:
    • The Agile Manifesto
    • Scrum
    • Lean/Kanban
  • Knowledge and initial practical experience in developing and defining architecture requirements, and interaction with the different stakeholders of development projects
  • Initial practical experience in the area of automated integration and delivery of software:
    • Knowledge and initial experience in automated testing at the unit and integration level
    • Basic understanding of runtime analysis of software, for example, profiling, tracing, log analysis, and data analysis
    • Basic understanding of automated Build, Integration, and Delivery processes for software
