COME. BUILD. WITH AI.: Brightest supports the next generation of AI builders
30 Wrz 2026
30 September 2026
On 27 September, GOMYCODE and NVIDIA held the first edition of COME. BUILD. WITH AI., bringing together more than 900 participants across eight countries for a day dedicated to creating practical AI solutions.
Participants joined online and from 16 GOMYCODE spaces across Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal and Tunisia, with additional online participation from Saudi Arabia. By the end of the event, more than 230 projects had been submitted, covering areas ranging from education and productivity to entrepreneurship and social impact.
Brightest joined the event as a partner and sponsored the Brightest Skills & Employability Award.
A hands-on approach to AI
GOMYCODE focuses on practical technology education, with learning built around real projects and skills that can be applied professionally.
COME. BUILD. WITH AI. followed that same approach. Participants had a limited amount of time to turn an idea into a working prototype and show how AI could be used to solve a concrete problem.
The range of submissions reflected the variety of the community taking part. Projects addressed career development, digital safety, automation, financial inclusion and other everyday challenges.
Anyone interested in seeing more of the event can visit the official COME. BUILD. WITH AI. hackathon page: Explore COME. BUILD. WITH AI.
The Brightest Skills & Employability Award
Brightest sponsored an award focused specifically on skills and employability.
The winning project was RampWay, created by Team RampWay from Morocco, which participated online. RampWay was one of the projects recognised through the event’s partner awards.
The category fits closely with Brightest’s work. Professional certification is one way of helping people make their knowledge visible and giving employers, training organisations and professionals a common reference point for recognised skills.
As part of the award, Team RampWay will receive free Brightest certification exam vouchers, as well as discounts on additional certification exams.
This gives the team the opportunity to continue developing professionally after the hackathon and to complement the practical experience gained during the event with recognised certification.
A strong first edition
The scale of this edition was notable: 900+ participants, 230+ projects and eight participating countries.
The event also brought together a broad partner community and recognised teams through both country awards and dedicated partner categories. In total, 33 teams received recognition across the different award categories.
For Brightest, supporting initiatives like this is a natural extension of our work with the international IT community. Hackathons create a setting where people can try new technologies in practice, work with others and see how far an idea can develop in a short amount of time.
They also give emerging talent an opportunity to be seen.
Congratulations to Team RampWay
Congratulations to Team RampWay on winning the Brightest Skills & Employability Award, and to everyone who took part in the first edition of COME. BUILD. WITH AI.
We would also like to thank GOMYCODE, NVIDIA, the jury, mentors, local teams and fellow partners who contributed to the event.
We look forward to seeing where the projects - and the people behind them - go next!
